Cerritos Library Wedding!

July 10th 2010

This wedding was very special to me because not only was I the hair stylist, I was the maid of honor. My sister married the man of her dreams, and her 8 year long boyfriend on this wonderfull day. The weather was perfect, the venue was beautifull, and the bride was breath taking. We styled her hair in curls that cascaded down her lovely cream colored dress. Nicole my sister had 18 inch red extensions that I highlighted with a golden blonde to match the color of her natural locks!

Girl Power!

For attractive lips, speak lips of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek our the goodness in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than food need to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed; never throw our anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each one of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
-Audrey Hepburn
This was a poem written by Audrey, and read at her funeral, at these are definitly words to live by. Life can not be fufilled by things, only love! Love for yourself, love for your "family", no matter who that may be, nor how many! Live every day that the Lord has made, to the fullest!

Casual up do's

These up do's were casual but elegantly done! The red head is my sister and this was the style we chose for her wedding rehersal! We wanted her hair up to keep it out of her face, but also because she was wearing it all down for the actual wedding and we wanted some variation in the styles!
The blonde is my cousin and we styled her hair up for her birthday spent at Disneyland! We love Disneyland and had a blast, and the messier this up do got, the cuter it became! The perfect day, and the perfect Disney Do!
Sometimes it is fun to just stop by and I can do one of these casual up do's if you have an event that requires some elegance, but is mostly casual, and it is a great way to keep the hair out of your face, without looking frumpy or to done up!

Choices! Really think about them!

Everyday we are given a series of choices. We have the opportunity to choose how they effect our lives, and how we are going to react to each situation. Make the choice everyday to wake up and tell yourself that today I am going to see the positives in all my situations, I am going to be in a good mood, and be a light for God, no matter what comes my way! We have to make the choice to change ourselves, so that way God can change our hearts, and then we can change the world. After all, attitude is everything! Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble on it's own. Mathew 6:34... After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday! Make the choice right now to view the glass as half full, no matter what the day brings you, life is a precious gift, but it comes with an expiration date, so don't waste the happy times that hide behind the pain, and dilemma, find the silver lining in every circumstance and enjoy every step of the way!

Yesterday, I lost my doggie of 15 years! We had to do the humane thing and put her down :( She was a great dog, and had a long and happy life! She will be missed, and I could never ask for any better memories than the ones I have of her. I love you Coco!
It's times like these in life that make you appreciate the small things in life. It's not about how much money you make, or who has the best stuff, it's about how much you loved, and who loved you. Life is way to short, and we can't take all our material things with us in the end. Don't worry about how much your couch cost, or that if you let the dog inside there would be hair all over the place, and yes they may have an accident or two on your precious carpet, but that stuff can be replaced, but the unconditional love of a pet can't be. Save a Dog today, welcome them into your family, and give them the best life you can, and they will love you until their dying day!

Simple yet Superb!

Simple hair is in! Low ballerina buns, side swept curls, half up half down, or just down and curly, that is what the fashionistas of Hollywood, and high school, are after this season! I love the classic simple look that accentuates the face, but allows the beauty to to be shown off else where, whether it be a great dress, or a fabulous heal, I love simplicity! NO complications, NO drama!

Prom season!!!

Erika Willig- is a very special client of mine. I have been best friends with her older sister and aclose to the whole family for around 17 years, so I was very honored to do her hair for such a big event, expecially because she has a very talented sister who dabbles in the hair and makeup industry as well. Not only was this Erika's first prom, she is also nominated for prom princess, seeing that she is only a jr. in high shcool and can't take the queen crown untill next year!
